The WBC Community Development Corporation (WBC CDC), located in the Forest Park area of northwest Baltimore, began as the fiscal development committee of Wayland Baptist Church in early 2004. Responding to deteriorating homes, high unemployment, vacant/abandoned properties and an absence of quality, affordable housing, the WBC CDC was formed and was incorporated in the state of Maryland. It achieved status as a (501)(c)(3) nonprofit corporation in 2007 and began developing strategies to meet the needs of the community.
The WBC CDC is governed by a diverse and professional board that provides guidance in planning and achieving organizational goals. We enjoy strong community support from such organizations as Project Garrison, Friends of Forest Park Neighborhood Association, Central Forest Park Neighborhood Association, Gwynn Oak Neighborhood Association, the WWFF-BOC Neighborhood Association, and the Wayland Baptist Church.
We are committed to improving the quality of lives for families in the Forest Park area of northwest Baltimore. By providing affordable housing and safe sustainable neighborhoods, we are confident that we will see the emergence of a vibrant and thriving community. Learn more about WBC CDC.
