Prayer for the Week: The church is in prayer for our national, state and local elected officials.
First Fruit Sunday: Fist Fruit Sunday is quickly approaching. Our first fruit offering is the equivalent of one week’s pay. “We also assume responsibility for bringing to the house of the Lord each year the first fruits of our crops and of every fruit tree.” – Nehemiah 10:35.
Christmas Eve Sunday Service: Join the Wayland family on Sunday, Dec. 24 at 8:45 a.m. for Christmas Eve Sunday Service. The Church School, Music Ministry, Interpretive Praise Ministry and Puppet Ministry will join together for a glorious presentation, following the theme “Only Jesus.” Rehearsal for the event will be Dec. 16 from 10-11:30 a.m. and Dec. 23 from 10:30 a.m. – noon.

Family Talent Night: Do you have talented people in your family? This New Year’s Eve, the B2B, Women of Wisdom, and YAYAM are sponsoring Family Talent Night in the Fellowship Hall at 7:30 p.m. We are encouraging you to gather your folks together and show us what you got! You may register your family every Sunday through Dec. 24 in the library after worship service. If you plan to come just to witness the entertainment, we ask that you also stop by the library to RSVP, because lite fare will be served. WBCYAYAM Christmas Fellowship @ Wayland Village: The Youth and Young Adult Ministry will be sharing Christmas cheer with the residents of Wayland Village on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 12-2 p.m. at their Annual Christmas Fellowship. WBCYAYAM is asking for all of our youth and young adults to come out and support this effort. We will need you to arrive at 10:30 a.m. to set-up. YAYAM is Giving Back: We are looking for youth and young adults who are interested in serving the less fortunate at Our Daily Bread on Saturday, December 23rd. We will leave the church at 9:30 a.m. Please see Bro. Brenden Coles or Sis. Norita Phillips to sign-up by Dec. 17.
Computer Training: The Wayland Village Senior Center (3020 Garrison Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21216) is conducting a computer training for anyone who has never used a computer or for those who need a refresher. Get a free email account, create an online address book, manage email and learn to browse the internet. Cost is $25 for a 4-week session. Classes begin Jan. 2, 2018.
Women’s Ministry 2018 Kick-Off Event: With big changes in income taxes approaching, you don’t want to miss this kick-off meeting on Jan. 13, 2018, featuring Karen Brockington of Karen Brockington and Associates, LLC. The free event is open to all. Breakfast will be served.
2018 Tithe and Offering Envelopes
Tithes and Offering envelopes for 2018 will be available after the 9:45 am worship services beginning December 11, 2017. To ensure that envelopes are issued appropriately, designated persons have been assigned to distribute envelopes on Sunday mornings. Please do not remove any envelopes from the library. You will be notified of the date the Office Staff will begin distributing envelopes during the week.
Children’s Ministry: Children’s Church will be held on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of each month. The children will stay with parents in the beginning of the service but will transition to Children’s Church after the morning hymn. Adult leaders and volunteers will lead children to the Multi-Purpose Room to ensure a smooth transition. The children will return to the service at 11:30 a.m.

Reminder: Media Ministry Requests: Requests for Media Ministry support must be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the date services are required. When possible, please use the Media Ministry online request form at www.waylandbc.org/member-resources. Please send all information pertaining to your event/activity with the request. Requests received less than 4 weeks in advance may be denied.
Ordering CDs and DVDs: CDs and DVDs of sermons are available for purchase upon request and payment of $5 per CD/DVD. The Media Ministry asks that you submit your request via the church website at www.waylandbc.org/cddvd-order- form-2 OR complete an order form and drop it in the designated Media Ministry mailbox. Order forms and the mailbox can be found in the back of the sanctuary hanging on the column leading up to the balcony. Orders will be processed and available the Sunday following your request. Currently, CDs/DVDs are not available immediately following the regular worship service.
